It is clear to all that we are in a period of rapid and enormous change. The ground is shifting beneath us and nothing is immune to the powers and forces at work here. The transition of our world is underway and it is too late to look back or wish it to be otherwise.

The only thing to do now is to face our fears. It is only in the facing of our fears that, paradoxically, we come to see that there is in fact nothing to fear. This is because fear is not a substance or a reality; it is absence - the absence of love. Those who feel the least love, feel the most fear.

Darkness is merely the absence of light. This is demonstrated by the fact that as soon as light is present darkness disappears. No matter how small the light, darkness can never block the presence of light. It is not a phenomenon with reality or power, it is merely the void that exists in the absence of light.

Similarly, fear is nothing more than the absence of love. As soon as love is consciously present fear has no foothold and when love is felt at sufficient intensities fear completely dissipates into the unreality that it is.

Fear is merely a function of the left brain, which is our in-built mechanism for ensuring physical survival. The left brain needs constant assurance that all the conditions for our survival exist. But the left brain cannot foresee the future, it can only remember the past so it relies on what it knows of the past to dictate what conditions must exist in the present and future for it to enable us to feel safe.

The problem of course is that the left brain does not allow us to expand, create anew or transform. It wants everything to stay the same, or if it is going to change it can only be in ways that have been previously (empirically) proven and demonstrated as worthy and valid. Nothing new comes from the left brain.

The greatest divide in this world is not that between male and female; black and white; rich and poor; educated and uneducated; healthy and sick; the intellectually gifted and the rest. These are nothing in comparison to the divide that exists between the fearful and the fearless. In the face of fearlessness, all the rest disappears.

The fearless take their life circumstances merely as starting points. No matter the challenges they face - the difficult life conditions they are born into or the problematic events that assail them in life - they allow nothing to defeat them. They work persistently to overcome any obstacle that stands between them and their dreams. They persevere until they achieve their desires and they remain cheerful and optimistic throughout. In their moments of greatest struggle they keep their faith intact, knowing when to listen to their left brain and when to allow the dictates of their heart to prevail over all other motivations.

Fearlessness is the tool we will all need in the transformation that awaits us. It is a prerequisite; the time has come when nothing less will do.

So how do we attain a state of fearlessness? The answer is simple, yet deeply profound: love. When we consciously love - ourselves, others, and indeed all life - we are so filled with joy, optimism, and peace there is no room for fear to take hold. Love is the supreme power that conquers and transforms all. It is all we ever need.

Love is our very essence. It is who we are, where we came from, and it is our task at hand: to love, no matter what. Just as space filled with light has no place, potential or even possibility for darkness, the constant, unwavering and pure feeling of love conquers and eradicates all fear.
